Just in relation to or tastes we would have liked to be able to hear the radio, we would prefer radio to TV. A reading light at each side of the bed would have been appreciated

We have stayed in the Brandon House Hotel many times now and its the one hotel we seem to go back to especially for the spa for my wife she loves it and the food is only divine. There's one thing we notice on each visit to the hotel and its the same friendly face's of the staff so that says alot for the hotel itself. Thank you very much for a relaxing stay there the wkend of the 27th April 2012.

We stayed in room 137. We had paid for a superior room but I needed an excessible room and so we were given room 137. We were disappointed with the view as I would have expected a good view as we paid for a superior room. There are a few maintenance issues that might be addressed. The shower drips and the drain and taps in the bath are rusty. The ceiling in the bedroom has a red mark on it and there is a stain on the carpet and walls We were not to impressed with the housekeeping. The only area your staff let you down. The beds were not made freshly every day, the sheets were only pulled up and were not even straightened that well, the bed should have been stripped and remade everyday. The window in the room has a lot of mould or mildew on it. Housekeeping replaced our teacups everyday but left dirty glasses for us to use in the room. The room was not vacuumed thoroughly everyday as I noticed there were crumbs under the dressing table area for the entire duration of our stay. On the up side the staff were very friendly. The Bar man stood out as being very nice and accomodating as did the girls in the spa. The entire team struck us as fantastic. The food in the bar, restaurant and breakfast room was very good and we really enjoyed it. We had a few treatments in the Spa and again fantastic service and really enjoyable treatments. It was a pity the outdoor pool was not in use as I could not use the jacuzzi being eight months pregnant. All in all we had an enjoyable experience and will return as well as recommend the hotel. The day time reception staff were very friendly and professional and it was a pleasure to deal with them. The night time reception team member on Mon 23rd didn't know how to use the Visa machine correctly and didn't offer to help with my heavy bag, even though there's no lift and it was late (11.30pm ish). I went to the end of the stairs with the bag and then went back to ask him for help. I'll definitely be back again though because of the mainly very friendly staff, the paintings (mind the LeBrocquys!) and your proximity to Lake Region. Regards, Bernie
